Wiggles time progression

Wiggles stats:
  • 1975 Mercury Comet
  • Poop brown
  • Tan interior, original (so far)
  • 4.1L, 250 ci straight six engine
  • Automatic transmission
  • 63,000 miles when purchased
  • Purchased: April, 2005 for $650
When purchased, Wiggles had a new battery, tires, radiator and (I think) water pump. By "new", I mean purchased within a year before I bought it - the previous owner drove Wiggles once or twice a week, so year-old tires had about 5,000 miles on them. Wiggles ran fine until July, 2005, when the heater core died. The heater core was replaced, then I parked Wiggles on the next day (August 1) because the brakes were no longer trustworthy. I waited until I had the cash, and we replaced the brakes and shocks in early July 2006. On the way back from Les Schwab, the fuel pump died, and work to recover and improve Wiggles officially began. I replaced the fuel pump and got it running again, and Wiggles was put back in our commuting rotation on August 1, 2006, one year to the day after being parked.

More broken heater parts Someone please help me wire my stereo Rebuilt dash panel
More evidence my heater wasn't reinstalled correctly. The clip holding the heater channels to the blower is missing, and the channel was just hanging loose. I fixed with a binder clip (very classy) (11/5/06) Current state of affairs. Trying to puzzle out how to wire the new CD player (11/5/06) Reconstituted lower dash panel. This came out of the car in several pieces. Looks okay, huh? (11/5/06)
